Announced in June 2006 was the addition of the new KTM Komuter station,  Kepong Sentral. This station lies on the Rawang-Seremban line. Located on the Middle Ring Road, Kepong Sentral provides an alternative to the older Kepong station, located within the suburb of Kepong.
