ANSWER:
Cross Federal Highway towards PJ Hilton.
Walk down Jalan Barat past Courts and KFC towards junction with Jalan Sultan and Jalan Penchala.
turn right into Jalan Penchala.
At the bus stop there, take either RapidKL Bus T505, U66 or Metrobus 98.
All will head down to Jalan Penchala and towards Jalan Tandang.
Unfortunately, you would've already walked a third of the way by then but hopefully this might be helpful.
